While driving through Potter Valley I noticed this beautiful draft horse, Hoss. He was resting in the shade of the huge heritage oak in the background. As soon as I stopped to make this photo he ventured out toward me. I simply waited until he was out of the shadows and turned his attention on me so that his blaze caught the full sun.
