False Falls of Kiwanda
Cape Kiwanda
Late afternoon sun strikes Kiwanda's headlands as the remnants of a spent wave create the appearance of a waterfall coming out of the wall. The angle of view, perpendicular to the headlands, provides the overlapping appearance of the individual bluffs giving depth to the composition as well as the surge and retreat of the waves forming a trough as a leading line to the falls, the center of attention.
