School Is Out

Govan is a ghost town with several fascinating abandoned buildings. But the abandoned schoolhouse in this Washington town is likely the most frequently photographed. The schoolhouse was built in 1906. A 1927 fire gutted the town which was completely abandoned by 1942. I made this image of the back of the schoolhouse as the front is the view most commonly made.
