In Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park the hoodoos—mostly-granitic, as opposed to sedimentary sandstone—stretch for miles along the Milk River. The erosion patterns are less dramatic because the stones are generally homogenous. A few potholes are present on a few formations. Photo © copyright by Robert Faucher.
